Fantastic Fun day

Fantastic Fun day with Ross-County coaching for over 5's- certificate each child, Zumba dancing for children with visit form Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam, Zumba dancing for adults, Mini assualt course,Story/music workshop, family drumfun lead by Steve sharpe and guests peppa pig and fireman Sam shall be joining in the fun with the children - perfect opportunity for photos with kids favourite characters, face painting, bubbles the ...clown, bouncy castles/slides, cafe, barbecue, stalls, raffle.
Football, zumba or family drumfun with peppa and sam all need to be booked before hand as limited numbers and places going quick so please ring nicki on 01997 421369 to book. Under 2's and adults go free and very reasonable prices! THERE IS NO ENTRANCE FEE FOR THE EVENT!
We had the mascots last night for a kids group and they went mad for them....they are fantastic!

10.30am - cafe opens - homemade baking and refreshments
11am - face ...painting opens £1.50
11am - Pirate treasure opens
11am - bouncy castle/possible slide and small castle for under 4.s £1
11am - stalls/raffle/tombola begins
11-12pm - Ross County Football coaching for over 5's. £2.50 per child
11-12pm - funny songs/story telling from Steve Sharpe from drumfun - any age. £2.50 per child
11- 2pm - mini assualt course £1
12pm - barbecue open with burgers/sausages/refreshments
12 - 2pm - bubbles the clown - plate spinning/balloon making - free to all
12.15pm - Zumba dancing for children - with short visit from peppa pig and Fireman Sam £1
12- 45pm - Zumba dancing for adults £2
1.30pm - cafe closes although hatch in hall shall be open for anyone wishing refreshments at Drumfun
2pm - winner announced for assualt course - Raffle drawn
2.30pm - Family Drumfun in Fairburn Hall in Marybank which is directly accross from other activities, lead by Steve sharpe and guests Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam shall be joining in with the children and having fun. Ideal opportunity for photos with mascots! £3 per child
3.30pm - Short parade outside (weather permitting) with Steve, Peppa, Sam and families to end the day!
UNDER 2'S AND ADULTS GO FREE! FAMILY TICKET AVAILABLE ON DAY IF PREFFERED. BOOK NOW AND PAY ON THE DAY!


PROCEEDS OF CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES/CAFE/BARBECUE/RAFFLE ARE ALL GOING TO SOME LOCAL GROUPS AND OTHER CHARITIES SUCH AS HELP FOR HEROS, HOSPICE AND MOUNTAIN RESCUE!

Strathconons Got Talent We had Chris Ferrier playing the Banjo after only 6wks of playing it.

> We had a Saxaphone player she was great!

> Jason played guitar and sang.

> Kiddies were jumping through hopes.

> And the overall Winner was Rosie George she sang and played guitar, she performed one of her own songs and the famous Caledonia!

A reminder that my helpers and i will be geared up for lots of folk wanting tea,coffee home baking aand raffle tickets. Plus we'll have jam-preserves available to buy-all in a good cause! We start at 10.30am until the last person leaves, preferably before midnight!

Hill Race, Heavy & Field Events, Highland Dancing Display, Clay Pigeon, Burger Stall, Local Craft Stall, Grand Raffle, Ice-Cream, WRI Teas & Baking, Strathconon Primary School Stall with Face Painting.

Strathconon Highland Games

This Saturday at Strathconon come to the Traditional Highland Games Fun for all
Highland Games with a hill race, heavy and track events, children's entertainment and traditional music. Open 12.00pm - 6.00pm.Ending the day in Traditional fashion is the Games Dance held in the Local Village Hall, with Music and there sure to be some sort of entertainment!

Strathconon Traditional Highland Games

Strathconon Traditional Highland Games.
The Strathconon Highland Games is held usually the last Saturday in July or the first Saturday in August every year. The games have been the main social event for many locals now for over 40years.
Starting the morning off is the competative Hill Race for all those hardy folks, Heavy Events, Clay Pigeon Shoot, Adult and Children's Races, Field Events, and Tug o War, so get yourself a team together if your brave enough to take on the “Strathconon Babes” this year!!
Tea Stalls and other local stalls have become a popular attraction at the games along with face painting, darts and lets not forget the BBQ with homemade Venison Burgers, the best around… and of course no Highland Games would be complete with-out a Beer Tent!
“ A Games which tries to keep a more traditional, non professional feel to the day, it is in the original spirit of Highland Games”.
Ending the day in Traditional fashion is the Games Dance held in the Local Village Hall, with Music and there sure to be some sort of entertainment!
