Strathconons Got Talent 2010
Strathconons Got Talent We had Chris Ferrier playing the Banjo after only 6wks of playing it.
> The Line-Dancers some of the wee ones from the school- danced to Shania Twain.
> We had a Saxaphone player she was great!
> Jason played guitar and sang.
> Kiddies were jumping through hopes.
> Ghostbusters Dance Routine.
> The AMAZING Dollies Dance Routine!

> Colin Hendry Stand up with Hill Stories was hilarious!
> And the overall Winner was Rosie George she sang and played guitar, she performed one of her own songs and the famous Caledonia!
Great night had by all!

The wreath laying ceremony on Sunday 14th is at 3.00pm in Strathconon,
The wreath laying ceremony on Sunday 14th is at 3.00pm in Strathconon, all welcome service by the Rev Fraser Stewart.
Sergeant James Macdonald is the first name on the memorial. He served in the 4th Battalion the Seaforth Highlanders He died in the Battle of Cambrai which raged in the months of Nov & December 1917.
His name is also recorded on the Cambrai Memorial , Louveral Cemetery France, as he had no known grave.
He was aged 38 and the son of Alexander and Rachel Macdonald , Bridgend. His parents died before the First War began and the family stone is in the graveyard at Strathconon

The Lord Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty Mrs Janet Bowen along with her Lord Lt Cadet Miss Casey Mackenzie arrived to lay on a wreath at the War Memorial Strathconon in what must be on of the last services in the County.The service that started at 3.00pm and was conducted by the Rev Fraser Stewart who's parish also covers Contin and Lochluichart and had already did services at Contin and Garve. A long side Mrs Janet Bowen at the War Memorial where local youth from the Glen that had turned out to remember the fallen of the Great Wars. Also in attendance Piper Hugh Watson of Dingwall.

MND Scotland receives a cheque from the Ladies of Contin WRI
Betty MacKenzie,President of Contin WRI handing over a cheque for £600 to Sara Thomas fund raiser for the Scottish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
MND Scotland is the only charity funding research and providing care and information for those affected by motor neurone disease in Scotland.
The Ladies of Contin W R I raised the money on their stall at the Stratconon games this year
